WRc manages a £1.5M per annum programme of collaborative research in the water, wastewater and environment industry called Portfolio. The Portfolio research programme addresses topical problems through promoting innovation, sharing research costs and leveraging budgets / experience.

In managing the Portfolio programme, WRc works with other recognised experts and innovators to deliver the research. These include: Institute for Underground Infrastructure (Germany); Electricity Research Assoc.; British Hydraulics Research; CIRIA; Evaluation International, the Public Health Laboratory Service and specialist Universities.

The project needs / proposals are developed in consultation with the industry and marketed twice a year via the "Portfolio" brochure and this website.

The Portfolio programme provides an effective route for collaborative research. In addition to WRc initiated projects, if you have a project idea where we can help stimulate innovation, find funding / other collaborators, please get in touch.
